Sales Manager - Media

Purpose of job:

To develop revenue from the Dublin local advertising market. To lead, motivate

and develop the sales team and be responsible for the target sales figures as

Discussed and agreed with the Chief Executive.

Main Duties:

- To review, implement and develop sales systems

- To manage revenue

- To report sales progress to management

- To conduct sales meetings

- To have regular face to face contact with key influencers and stakeholders

- To recruit, motivate and develop sales team members

- To develop sales commission and incentive plans

- To manage inventory and rates

- To coordinate sales activities with other departments, particularly the

programming department

- To set and achieve sales targets

- To develop and deliver presentations as required

- To organise client events

- To negotiate advertising rates

- To liaise on a regular basis with agency sales house, with regard to

maximising revenue potential

- To support other members of the management team

Revenue: Primary responsibility is to generate revenue from the local Dublin advertising

market:

- To cultivate and quantify business potential in advance of targeting periods

- To identify opportunities to grow year on year revenue and the customer base

- To plan each stage in the development of accounts

- To monitor performance against gains and losses

- To think creatively about the use of all Sponsorship and Promotions opportunities

- To ensure that rates and deals are reviewed annually and that clients are

aware at all times of their status with regard to deals

- To monitor competitive activity across other media.
