Key Account Manager (Advertising Sales)

The purpose of this role is to manage and grow advertising agency business and achieve budgeted sales for the year in line with the overall advertising strategy and vision.

Key Responsibilities:
 Work with the Head of Sales to maintain and penetrate existing accounts to achieve annual sales budget, maximise sales revenue and increase market share whilst also winning new customers to generate additional revenue and further increase market share
 Proactive selling to an assigned portfolio of media agencies and specialists
 Maintain and develop excellent working relationships with media agencies and media specialists in order to deliver increased revenue and provide first-class customer service
 Account management of existing and future advertising campaigns, ensuring that there is no conflict with other company activities
 Work both individually and with fellow team members to ensure a creative but consistent approach to business development, sales and account management
 Secure annual rate agreements and ensure clients are serviced to the highest standards
 Work with the Sales Administration to manage the option and booking implementation of the client campaigns
 Handle a number of assigned media agency accounts. This involves servicing and maximising growth of their key accounts along with developing and securing additional clients
 Develop and maintain strong working relationships with all key agency media personnel and buying agents. This will involve regular contact with these key personnel with relevant and new advertising opportunities.
 Identify, create and pitch tailored advertising solutions to specific targeted customers in line with the advertising strategy & vision.
Skills, knowledge and experience
 Extensive knowledge of the Advertising Industry as a whole and Outdoor Advertising in particular
 Demonstrable advertising sales experience with proven track record in generating revenue and delivering against sales targets
 Excellent professional relationships with media buyers and advertising contacts
 Strong influencing and communication skills
 Excellent knowledge of Microsoft systems
 Excellent attention to detail and focused on sales driven achievement
 Strong and comfortable with sales presentations
 Strong organisational skills
 Key competencies for this role are Managing Work, Personal Leadership and Communication
 Experience in drafting and presenting reports suitable for presentation to Senior Management
