Agency Sales Executive – Radio
Our Client is a leading radio station. They boast impressive listenerhip figures and market share.
They currently have a requirement for a tenacious and accomplished Agency Sales Executive. . You will be expected to develop professional, lucrative and longstanding relationships within each agency.
◾Excellent knowledge of the Media market and Agency landscape
◾First hand experience of sales activities and processes
◾Excellent account management skills
◾Excellent negotiation skills
◾Excellent interpersonal skills: relationship management/communications/ presentations, etc
◾An ability to read financial information in relation to revenue and profitability
◾An ability to read, understand and deliver research data and information
Key Job Purpose
◾Responsible to the Sales Director for the achievement of a pre-determined sales target.
◾Responsible for representing all Company products
◾Achieve a pre-determined sales target with Agencies and Advertisers
◾Undertake a pre-determined number of agency/advertiser presentations per quarter
◾Report back market information in a way that allows the whole sales/marketing team to use it
◾Monitor the trends in the marketplace to allow the Company to make clever and strategic decisions in relation to the marketing mix
◾Monitor the financial information provided to determine the profitability of the different buyers
◾Maintain and develop business relationship with all agencies
◾Continue to grow and develop the Company’s brand.
◾Ensure a high standard of customer care is maintained throughout the campaign from optioning the space, completion of appropriate paperwork, and finalising artwork and production.
◾Ensure prompt effective response to customer queries and complaints. Advise the relevant department when appropriate and take action to resolve the problem.
◾Plan and prepare all sales presentations and calls.
◾A broad understanding of the advertising industry, particularly in respect of radio advertising and the ways in which media coverage and budgetary spend are formulated.
◾Requirement of a broad and extensive knowledge of all Company products together with the ability to communicate the benefits of their use to the advertisers.
◾Extensive knowledge of the way advertising agencies operate and their special requirements.
◾Follow agency rules.
